Producers from the hit Netflix series Love Is Blind have confirmed that the Season 2 cast will be hideously ugly.
“I’m really excited to join the show and try to find love,” said George Evans, an unsightly 26-year-old from Atlanta. “It’s time for the show to ask the real, pressing questions, like, is it possible to fall in love with someone who wears glasses?”
The show, despite becoming Netflix’s number one trending program, did receive some backlash for only having conventionally attractive participants in its first season. According to executive director Chris Coelen, the goal this season is to showcase some “real 2s.”
“I fell head-over-heels in love with Cameron before seeing him, but I was so relieved to find out he’s a sexy 6-foot hunk,” reported Lauren Speed, who got married in Season 1. “However, if I’d seen him at the reveal and he was some grotesque ogre, who knows?”
“This season, we want to push our contestants further than ever before to find out the truth,” said Coelen. “Is love truly blind, even when it’s with a scraggly troll?”
However, some people are unhappy with Coelen’s decision, citing that it’s “unfair to smokin’ hot babes.”
“I auditioned for the show but was rejected because I’m too ‘stunning’,” reported Alexa Fields, a 24-year-old from Chicago, as she stifled a sob. “People just don’t realize how difficult it is for someone with stunning blue eyes, perfect golden curls, and an hourglass figure to be loved.”
Other sources have confirmed rumors that Season 3 will only have legally blind contestants.
