Reports confirm former teen actors Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment, who played best friends Miley and Lily on the hit 2000’s Disney show Hannah Montana, are just friendly acquaintances in real life.
Throughout the show’s five-year run, Cyrus and Osment allegedly maintained a “distanced business relationship” on the set, despite the fact that their characters Miley and Lily were supposed to be “inseparable duo”.
Fans of the show expressed profound disappointment after learning that the co-star’s incredible friendship was only an act.
“I know they’re trained actors doing a job. But still. How can Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment just be acquaintances? They’ve been through so much together!” demanded George Tennyson, a lifelong fan of Hannah Montana.
At press time, fans of Hannah Montana expressed disbelief that actor Jason Earles is also a peripheral friend of Cyrus, and not a member of her close family.
