Ann Arbor is famous for its adorable little fairy doors in the sides of buildings, but for too long they have ignored the needs of some members of our community. Now, in what is already being hailed as a milestone for progress, the City of Ann Arbor announced earlier today that it had completed measures to make sure all of the its fairy doors are wheelchair-accessible.
Wow. By adding ramps to help differently-abled fairies with ingress and egress, Ann Arbor is seriously ramping up its commitment to equality. A^2 has always been known as progressive, but this is amazing!
