Accidently Seeing Reflection In Store Window Low Point of Man’s Week

Roberts’ glimpse of his own sallow complexion above a row of coffee cups “threw off his whole day.”

After accidentally catching his reflection in the window of Espresso Royale last Monday, graduate student Chad Roberts told reporters that the event “kind of put a damper” on the rest of his week.

“The whole thing really caught me off guard,” said Roberts. “When I first saw someone staring back at me through the window I thought it was just a sad, homely guy. It took a few seconds before I realized I was actually just looking at myself.”

Roberts told reporters that the experience “sent an instant wave of regret” through him regarding his choice of outfit that day.

“I could have sworn I looked fine when I looked in the mirror this morning,” Roberts continued. “After taking a second look though, the short-sleeved t-shirt was a terrible choice once you see how it looks when I exhale.”

“I also didn’t realize how much weight I’ve put on,” Roberts continued. “Maybe it was just the angles and the lighting though. That can make you look heavier, I think.”

Roberts explained that he “actively avoids looking at himself in the mirror,” and that it would “take some time” to mentally prepare himself to look at his reflection again.

“It’s going to be a little while until I can come to terms with the fact that my beard looks so crooked from the side,” said Roberts.

At press time, Roberts was reportedly seen making sure the front camera of his phone wasn’t on before opening his snapchat.
